Travel coach responsibilities for college coach emails

And coaches, when you are at the showcase level, I don't know how else to call it. It's not enough for you to tell your players, email college coaches, and for you to say, did you email? Did you email? Because nine kids out of ten, they don't know what they're doing.

And if teenagers in 2023, especially if they aren't confident, if they don't know what they're doing, they're not motivated to do it. So you have to teach them how to email. You have to teach them what to say in the emails. We got to brush up on our do's and don'ts, and if you don't know, swallow that pride and go talk to somebody that knows a little bit more than you. Okay?

And parents, I get it. If your teenagers are lazy and they're not doing it and they have the tools, I get it. But coaches want to hear from the kids and they can tell if they're talking to the parents or the kids. But I get it. Uh, as long as the emails are going out, it is what it is.

But I do advise in 2023, like I said in my other video, you need all the contacts you can get with the portal. The competition. It's fierce. So hire a recruiting agency. Why not? But do your homework too, because there's a few. I'm not going to badmouth anybody, but, yeah, it's a process.

It's a long process and you need to be prepared so you don't get stuck when you're a junior. I have a lot of juniors around me and seniors, too. Sophomores that coaches were all bark and no bite and they don't know what they're doing and they made empty promises, which is unfortunate.

And the kids are kind of stuck now and they're unmotivated and now they're saying things like, I don't want to play anymore. I don't know what to say. I don't have any interest. I'm not signed. Well, you don't have any interest yet because you're not reaching out. You're not trying to establish that line of communication with these coaches.

They're not going to come knock knocking on your door. You have to go and bang on their door. Which our emails. Sending your schedule. Um, but yeah, sending your kids a template, just something. Basic to go on, and then they can fill it in with all their details is crucial to the process.

Uh, it's like a Kickstarter. It gets the whole thing going.

Conclusion:

It's all about preparation and strategy in the competitive world of college recruiting.
